Clear Aligners

Invisalign® & clear aligners in Asheville.

Custom, nearly invisible trays that gently move your teeth into place — and come out when you eat, brush, or have a big presentation. With Roeder Orthodontics, your aligner treatment is planned and monitored by a board-certified orthodontic specialist, not a mail-order company or a general dentist doing aligners on the side.

Why patients love aligners

Treatment that fits your life.

Asheville is an active place — hiking, school, work, kids, coffee on Lexington Ave. Aligners keep up with all of it.

  • Nearly invisible — most people won’t notice
  • Removable for meals, so you can eat what you like
  • Custom-fit for comfort from day one
  • No brackets to pop off or wires to poke
  • Fewer, quicker check-in appointments

You take the trays out to eat, brush, and floss, then put them back in. Most people get used to them within a few days.

Aligners or braces?

An honest recommendation, either way.

We offer both, so we’ll always recommend what’s best for your teeth — not what’s easiest to sell.

Aligners may be best for

  • Teens who want to feel confident at school and on the field
  • Adults who want a discreet option for work and social life
  • Mild to moderate spacing, crowding, or bite issues
  • Anyone who values being able to remove their appliance

Braces may be better for

  • More complex bite corrections
  • Significant rotation or severe crowding
  • Cases where fixed appliances give better control

Start to finish

How aligner treatment works.

1

Free consultation

We look at your teeth, talk through your goals, and tell you honestly whether aligners are a good fit. No charge, no obligation.

2

Digital 3D scan

A quick, comfortable iTero® scan maps your teeth — no goopy molds — and lets you preview your results.

3

Your custom plan

Dr. Roeder designs a plan specifically for your smile, including a clear timeline and cost.

4

Wear your aligners

Wear your trays 20–22 hours a day and switch to a new set every one to two weeks.

5

Quick progress checks

Visit us every six to eight weeks so we can confirm everything is on track and give you your next sets.

6

Keep your new smile

Most treatments take 6–18 months. Retainers keep your results in place for life.

Aligners for teens

Invisalign lets teens straighten their teeth without braces becoming the first thing people notice. Trays come out for sports, band, and theatre, so there’s no wire to worry about during a game.

Teen aligners include compliance indicators, so parents (and we) can see they’re being worn enough — peace of mind without the nagging.

Aligners for adults

Roughly one in four Invisalign patients is an adult. Maybe your teeth shifted after braces as a kid, or you’ve been thinking about it for years — either way, aligners are made for grown-up schedules.

Take them out for an interview or a big meeting, and most people you see every day will never know. More on adult orthodontics.

Cost

What does Invisalign cost in Asheville?

Invisalign is usually in a similar range to traditional braces — most treatments fall between $3,500 and $7,000, depending on how much movement your teeth need. We can’t quote an exact number until we see your teeth, which is why your consultation is free.

  • Orthodontic insurance benefits often apply to aligners
  • Flexible, 0% in-office payment plans
  • All costs reviewed upfront — no surprises

Questions & answers

Clear aligner questions

How long does Invisalign take?

Minor corrections can take as little as 6 months; more involved cases take 12–18 months. You’ll get a realistic timeline at your free consultation.

Does Invisalign hurt?

Most people describe it as pressure rather than pain. Your teeth may feel a little sore for a day or two after switching to a new set — a sign they’re moving.

How often do I need to wear my aligners?

20–22 hours a day. Take them out to eat, drink anything other than water, brush, and floss. Consistency is the key to fast, great results.

Is Invisalign covered by insurance?

Many orthodontic plans cover aligners just like braces. Our team will review your benefits and help you make the most of them.

Can teens get Invisalign?

Absolutely. We treat teens with aligners all the time, and teen aligners include compliance indicators to help keep treatment on track.

Is Invisalign better than braces?

It depends on your situation. Aligners are great for many cases; braces can do a better job with complex bite issues. We’ll tell you honestly which is right for you.

Roeder Orthodontics is located at 22 Medical Park Drive in Asheville (28803). We welcome patients from West, North, and East Asheville, Weaverville, Woodfin, Arden, Swannanoa, Black Mountain, Candler, Fletcher, Hendersonville, and across Western North Carolina.
