Surgically Clean Air at Roeder Orthodontics

Surgically Clean Air at Roeder Orthodontics

At Roeder Orthodontics, we take the safety of our patients seriously. In order to protect your health, we have developed a sanitation and sterilization protocol for our office that is designed to minimize allergens, pathogens, and irritants. One of the strategies we use for sanitation is air sterilization with an advanced air purifier.

Why Clean the Air?

Although the primary focus in a dental office tends to be on sterilization of tools and surfaces, the air itself should not be ignored. The air can contain a variety of dangerous particles, including allergens, dust, dirt and even pathogens like bacteria, viruses and fungi. Breathing the air can also expose you to volatile organic compounds, or VOCs. These man-made chemicals can aggravate allergies and cause other health problems. For this reason, it is important for dental offices to take steps to clean with an appropriate air purifier.

Our Air Purification System

At Roeder Orthodontics, we use the Surgically Clean Air system to eliminate pollutants and keep our patients healthy. The Surgically Clean Air system uses advanced HEPA-Rx filters, which are capable of removing up to 99.998 percent of particles sized 0.1 microns or larger. The filter removes 99.2 percent of particles sized 0.0025 microns or larger. This air purifier system utilizes a six-stage filtration process to make sure the air is as clean as possible. This process is designed to remove odors, gases, mold, viruses and allergens. When you come to our office, you can be sure that the air is as clean and free of impurities as possible.
